Ghana midfielder Forson Amankwah assists a goal for Norwich in 4-3 win over Stevenage

Ghana international, Forson Amankwah was in action for Norwich City on Tuesday night when the team defeated Stevenage 4-3 in the EFL Cup First Round.

The talented youngster started for his new club today and lasted 66 minutes of the contest.

In a game played at the Carrow Road Norwich opened the scoring after 26 minutes when Abu Kamara scored with a fine strike.

Two minutes later, a Charlie Goode equalizer restored parity for Stevenage.

Shortly after that goal, Onel Hernandez also scored to give Norwich City a 2-1 lead.

Before the halftime break, Louis Appere got his name on the scoresheet to force the first half to end in a 2-2 draw.

Three minutes after recess, Borja Sainz scored a fine goal to give Norwich City a 3-2 win.

On the hour mark, Forson Amankwah who has been impressive in the game set up Onel Hernandez to make it 4-2 for Norwich City.

Although a Brad Hills own goal would make it 4-3 in added time, Stevenage could not push for another and had to succumb to a defeat.

Forson Amankwah and his Norwich City teammates will now march into the second round of the EFL Cup.
