No guarantees for league success, says Heart of Lions coach Bashir Hayford

Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has cautioned against expectations of league success, emphasizing that the team's performance will depend on the resources at his disposal.

The club recently faced Accra Hearts of Oak in the Homowo Cup, where they lost in a penalty shootout.

Last season, Heart of Lions finished in 13th place with 45 points. As they gear up for the 2024/25 season, Hayford remains pragmatic.

"I cannot sit here and say this or this it will depend on upon the materials I will get I cannot sit here and say this or this," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"Immediately we start the league and I see where I have prepared them to I will be able to come out but I don't want to conjure something that it is impossible to predict. So let's start the league assess the players watch two or three matches of the other clubs then I will tell you what will happen,"

Heart of Lions will commence their Ghana Premier League campaign against Aduana Stars.
