Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara says his side will not adopt rivals Asante Kotoko’s mass player exodus strategy.

After a disappointing campaign, the Porcupines Warriors have parted ways with 21 players.

However, Hearts of Oak survived on the final day of the 2023/24 season after recording a 3-2 win over Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park to finish the season with 45 points.

Ahead of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, Ouattara, who signed a two-and-a-half-year deal midway last season does not believe that letting go of the majority of players is the way to improve their situation for next season.

“You are sacking 100 and bringing 200, what is the results? He quizzed in an interview with SportsObama TV.

“Let us go slowly. When you go slowly, you have a 100% chance to achieve something. Sacking 11, 22, 100 players, we bring in 100 and we start again, you are [wasting] money." he added.

Meanwhile, midfielder Ibrahim Salifu has left the club after failing to renew his contract with the club.

Hearts of Oak are reportedly interested in signing Ex-Kotoko midfielder Enoch Morrison and former Bechem United forward Augustine Okrah.
