Mohammed Kudus expressed sheer elation after his spectacular bicycle kick goal against Manchester City during West Ham United's visit to the Etihad Stadium on the final day of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

The Ghana attacker stunned the crowd late in the first half, executing a flawless overhead strike that breathed life into his team's hopes against Pep Guardiola's formidable side.

Reflecting on his memorable goal, Kudus shared with The Athletic, “It’s one of the actions that barely happens in the game.

“Normally, you visualise the action in your head, and then you just go for it. When the ball came and I set it up in the air for myself, I already had a plan that this was what I was going to do.”

“I’m glad that what I visualised in my head went perfectly,” he says. “It was good to do it on a day like that when the title is being decided and to give the Arsenal fans some incentive," he added.

Despite Kudus's heroics, Manchester City's determination proved insurmountable. Second-half goals from Rodri, following a first-half brace by Phil Foden, secured a decisive 3-1 victory for Guardiola's side, securing their fourth consecutive English Premier League title.

In his debut EPL season, the 23-year-old Kudus made 33 appearances for West Ham United, contributing eight goals and six assists, marking a promising start to his career in English football.
