Hearts of Oak not perturbed by Ibrahim Salifu's exit

Hearts of Oak have announced that the departure of midfielder Salifu Ibrahim will not negatively impact the club.

Despite being a key player last season, contract renewal negotiations fell through when the 24-year-old requested a monthly post-tax salary of $2500.

A high-ranking source within the club expressed confidence in the team's future, even after Salifu's contract expired at the end of the season. The club was unable to meet his salary demands, leading to a disagreement between his agent and the club.

It has been confirmed that Ibrahim has since joined Kosovo side FC Drita. An insider suggested that the agent's high demands were a strategy to secure an international move for the player.

Despite his contributions last season, the source emphasized that the club no longer needed Ibrahim's services and his absence would not affect their plans.

The source also revealed plans for a significant squad overhaul, with underperforming players set to be released and new recruits brought in to bolster the team for a strong challenge in the next league season.
