Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga is on his way out of Hearts of Oak to finalize a deal with a second-division club in Qatar this week.

Otanga left Accra on Saturday, July 13, 2024, heading to Congo to prepare for his move to Qatar on Wednesday, July 18, 2024.

Ghanasportspage.com has reported that the unnamed Qatari club has agreed on a transfer fee, which will be paid to Hearts of Oak in the coming days.

Otanga will not renew his contract with the Rainbows, which expires in August 2024. It has been confirmed that Hearts of Oak has sold the midfielder to the Qatari side.

Since joining the Ghanaian club in 2022, Otanga has become one of the league’s standout players, drawing the attention of the Qatari team.

Despite doubts about his future, reports indicate that this season will mark the end of Otanga's tenure with Hearts of Oak.

His remarkable performances, including helping the team win the FA Cup, have earned him this new opportunity to face another challenge in his football career.

Before joining Hearts of Oak, the 22-year-old midfielder played for Akonangui FC in Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon’s Coton Sport FC de Garoua.

Otanga's journey through these clubs has reportedly prepared him for this significant step in his career.
