The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled plans to invest over GHC 3 million in footballs for clubs across both the topflight and lower divisions as the new season kicks off in September.

Building on last season's initiative, this program aims to support club development and alleviate the financial burden of acquiring equipment.

During the 30th Ordinary Congress held at the Ghanaian Soccer Center of Excellence, GFA President Kurt Okraku announced a collaboration with FIFA to invest $100,000 in footballs for grassroots development.

“Football is all about balls. So our strategic plan to collaborate with FIFA to invest $100,000 in the purchase of football for grassroots football development will be repeated.”

In addition to this, the GFA will invest another $100,000 specifically for colt clubs, underscoring its commitment to nurturing young talent and equipping them with essential resources.

The Congress, which began on Monday, August 26, is set to conclude on Tuesday, paving the way for the 2024/25 Ghana football season.
