Former Ghana defender Sam Johnson criticizes Black Stars players’ attitude

Former Ghana defender Sam Johnson has expressed concern over the attitude of the Black Stars players following the team's disappointing start to their Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign.

Johnson, who has always supported the team, is "getting fed up" with the players' lack of commitment on the field.

"I will always stand by them but this time I am getting fed up because football you can go on the field and maybe the field is not good and things don't go well but your attitude on the field show that you are committed to play for Ghana," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"Your attitude on the field you can be beaten football is normally if you are beaten you will take it like that if you are not beaten or play draw you will take it like. But it is always because for us to pick the losing side or draw but your attitude will make the country say that today the players have done well but it just didn't work out. But if you go and we know what you are doing there how you play working hard when you come here what is happening here?"

Ghana began their qualification campaign poorly, drawing 1-1 with Niger after a lackluster 1-0 loss to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Alidu Seidu's goal in the draw against Niger was quickly equalized by Oumar Sako, reflecting the ongoing struggles of the Black Stars.

Ghana now faces Sudan in October, hoping for better results in both matches.
