Dr. Richard Duah Nsenkyire, the financier of FC Samartex, has pledged his full support to the club's playing body to ensure their success in the CAF Champions League.
FC Samartex will represent Ghana in the 2024/25 Champions League after winning the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
During a meeting at their training camp at Safari Valley in the Eastern Region, Dr Nsenkyire reassured the players of his commitment to providing all the necessary support for their maiden appearance in the CAF elite competition.
"I am ready to offer every support to ensure our success in the CAF Champions League," he stated.
He also urged the players to exhibit hard work and professionalism.
"Where we are now demands hard work and professionalism," he emphasized.
In the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, FC Samartex has been drawn against Cameroonian side Victoria United FC.
The preliminary round, scheduled for August, marks an exciting start for Samartex. The winner will advance to face either ASGNN of Niger or Morocco's Raja Club Athletic in the second round in September.
Samartex is eager to make a strong impression in their debut Champions League campaign and views the upcoming matches as an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities on the continental stage.
