Medeama assistant trainer Nana Yaw Amankwah has heaped praise on his players despite defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League week 11 clash.

The Yellow and Mauves succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. Kotoko were awarded a penalty in the 60th minute and Sheriff Mohammed converted nicely to hand his outfit victory.

The win ensured the Ghanaian giants are back to winning ways after ending their three game losing streak in the top-flight.

Despite the defeat, Nana Yaw Amankwah has eulogized his players for their outstanding performance against Kotoko.

“My players did very well because looking at the situation and where Kotoko were coming from, they were determined to secure maximum points”

“On the other hand, we went into the game on the back of a home defeat so we were also poised for a win. It was a difficult game but I will congratulate my players because they did very well” he said.

Medeama are 7th on the Ghana Premier League table with 16 points.
