Veteran Ghanaian tactician, Bashir Hayford has admonished club administrators in the country to have respect for Ghanaian coaches.

He said this during an interview with Onua FM when asked about Coach Maxwell Konadu’s move to South Africa.

According to coach Bashir Hayford, the move to Black Leopards is good for Maxwell Konadu and he must be supported.

He said although he is not sure what convinced Coach Konadu to leave Nsoatreman FC for Black Leopards, he would want club owners to always respect the Ghanaian coaches they hire.

“...this is the time our sports administrators and club owners must make sure they have little respect for coaches [and] their contractual obligations.

“I don’t know what happened but it is a job opportunity and he also wants to try his luck outside,” Coach Bashir Hayford said.

Coach Maxwell Konadu is expected to make the trip to South Africa in the coming days after securing the head coach appointment with Black Leopards.

At the new club, he has been tasked to lead the back to the South African Premier Soccer League.
