Ghanaian striker Inaki Williams, who is currently recovering from foot surgery, took to his official X page to express his delight at Ghana's dramatic 2-1 win against Mali in Bamako.

Williams simply wrote "Y3nkooooooooo!", accompanied by a dancing man and a to-the-top emoji, as Otto Addo's lads snatched victory in added time.

The win marked a return to form for Ghana, who had a mixed start in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers, with one win and one loss in their first two matches. They began their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Madagascar in Kumasi, but then suffered a 1-0 defeat to Comoros in Moroni.

This evening, Ghana secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Mali, with goals from Ernest Nuamah and Jordan Ayew giving the away side the victory at the Stade du 26 Mars. Following the win, Ghana will face the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Currently sitting in 2nd place in Group I, the Black Stars will be hoping to secure victory in their next game to boost their chances of qualifying for the World Cup, which will be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
