Randers are set to convert the loan of Ghana forward Mohammed Fuseini to a permanent deal after his impressive stint with the club toward the end of the season.

This move is possible due to a purchase option included in Fuseini’s loan agreement. Danish outlet, Tipsbladet recently disclosed that the purchase option is similar in amount to Stephen Odey’s clause from a few years ago, estimated around 5-6 million kroner.

Despite the clear option, Randers might seek to negotiate a lower price. Sturm Graz did not utilize Fuseini extensively in the fall, as he only played 95 minutes in the league across 11 substitutions, along with a few appearances in European competitions and cup matches.

This situation poses the risk of larger clubs swooping in to secure Fuseini, reminiscent of Stephen Odey’s 2021/2022 season when bigger clubs showed interest.

However, Randers FC successfully signed Odey on a permanent deal despite competition from wealthier clubs.

Mohammed Fuseini’s agent, Max Hagmayr, confirmed that returning to SK Sturm Graz, where Fuseini is under contract until 2026, is not part of their plan. “

Randers FC’s successful history of selling players like Filip Bundgaard, Simon Graves, and Lasse Berg Johnsen could be an enticing factor for Fuseini and his agent.

The buyout clause in a loan agreement typically applies only to the club that has loaned the player, meaning another Danish or foreign club cannot simply make an offer to Sturm Graz and acquire Fuseini behind Randers’ back.

Since joining Randers FC in January, Mohammed Fuseini has netted seven goals, showcasing his value and potential to the team and any prospective buyers.
