Ghanaian midfielder Mawuli Mensah, a key player for Real Betis Balompie in Spain, is relieved and hopeful after undergoing a successful surgery.

The procedure was performed to address a cruciate ligament tear, an injury that marked a challenging end to his season.

Mensah took to social media to express his gratitude, saying, “Thanks to God, I’ve had a successful surgery. Thanks for all the encouraging messages. Much love to my family for the prayers. Lastly, to my teammates, you guys are amazing for helping me stay strong throughout this process.”

The midfielder is now shifting his focus towards recovery and is determined to come back stronger. “I’m going to now focus on recovering with hopes of coming back stronger,” he stated.

In the 23/24 Promoción 1ª Federación, Mensah made three appearances and scored once. He also had an impressive run in the 23/24 Segunda Federación - Gr. IV, where he made 31 appearances, scored eight goals, and provided one assist.

Prior to his time at Real Betis Bolempe, Mensah played for Shooting Stars, where he developed his skills and emerged as a promising talent.
