We won’t sign Division One players again – Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum

Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has opened up on the club’s transfer policy for the upcoming season.

The Ghana Premier League winning-coach disclosed the club will not sign many lower tier players again like they did last season.

The Porcupine Warriors singed over ten players before the start of last season, with many of them being Division One and Two players who are not proven.

Reviewing the club’s season, Ogum was straightforward on the type of players the club is aiming to sign for the new season.

“We need to do a lot of structural changes in the playing body with respect to signing of some players to come to augment.

“This time, not players from lower divisions, but players who have seen it in the Premier League. So these are basically some of the things that we need to also do.”

The club has already released as many as 18 players; eleven on Tuesday and seven on Wednesday.
