Dreams FC assistant coach Wilfred Dormon has reflected on his outfit 8-1 win over Real Tamale United in the Ghana Premier League.

The Still Believe lads achieved their largest-ever win in the Ghana Premier League by thrashing relegated Real Tamale United (RTU) 8-1 on Wednesday at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

This resounding victory came in an outstanding match and marks the biggest scoreline in the league this season.

The Pride of the North are said to have fielded unregistered players against Dreams FC, leading to the heavy defeat.

Speaking after the game, Dormon expressed his outfit should have scored more against the Tamale-based club.

“On the balance of play, we should have scored more because I could count the number of chances we missed in the game. Antwi came close on two-three occasions. Our wing back Derrick also missed chances”

“Honestly, we really showed desire and character in the game. Coming to this game, we knew very well that our destiny is in our hands. So I am impressed with the performance of the team and impressed with the result at large”

This victory has propelled Dreams FC to 11th place in the league standings, giving them a significant boost in their fight for survival with a greatly improved goal difference. With this win, Dreams FC are all but assured of avoiding relegation.
