Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has opened up following his outfit massive victory over Real Tamale United in the Ghana Premier League.

The Still Believe lads achieved their largest-ever win in the Ghana Premier League by thrashing relegated Real Tamale United (RTU) 8-1 on Wednesday at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

This resounding victory came in an outstanding match and marks the biggest scoreline in the league this season.

The Pride of the North are said to have fielded unregistered players against Dreams FC, leading to the heavy defeat.

Speaking to Kessben FM, Zito disclosed his outfit protested against RTU’s decision to use unregistered players for the game.

"Based on the information we had before the game that they were going to play with young players (unregistered players), I instructed my team manager to inspect them to provide anything they ought to have produced and after they failed to produce them I ensured that we played the game under protest. We made a protest on that before the game” he said.

This victory has propelled Dreams FC to 11th place in the league standings, giving them a significant boost in their fight for survival with a greatly improved goal difference. With this win, Dreams FC are all but assured of avoiding relegation.
