We played badly – Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara after defeat to Kotoko

Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed his displeasure about the performance of his team following defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors completed the double over their arch-rivals, following a thrilling 3-2 win earlier in the campaign.

The Uganda international scored two brilliant goals as the Porcupine Warriors cruised to a 2-0 win at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Mukwala opened the scoring after just eight minutes into the game before sealing victory in injury time to snatch maximum points for the Porcupine Warriors.

“That is the reality of football. When you can’t score and can’t play well, that is what happens. Kotoko have a good side today and I congratulate them. We played badly once again”

“We lost the game. We didn’t play well and Kotoko took their chances. I don’t want to apportion blames. I have to talk to my players and myself”

The win propels Kotoko into the top half of the table, now in 9th place and further away from the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak find themselves in a precarious position, sitting 14th on the table, just two points above the drop zone.
