General Manager of Nsoatreman FC, Eric Alagidede has expressed that they are still shocked by the sudden departure of Maxwell Konadu.

Konadu, who joined the Nsoatre-based side on a two-year deal as the head coach before the start of the 2023/24 football season has left the club after just a season.

The club was expecting that the former Asante Kotoko gaffer would lead them for their maiden CAF Confederation Cup campaign after steering the side to annex the FA Cup title, beating their regional rivals, Bofoakwa Tano.

However, Alagidede in an interview said the fans and the Board of Directors of the club are still shocked by the decision of the former Black Stars assistant coach.

"We are still surprised by Maxwell Konadu's sudden exit. We were planning on recruiting players to strengthen the team for the Confederation Cup and so his decision to leave was shocking," he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

"The news got to the fans and the Board of Directors as a big shock but we have moved on because he is gone," he added.

Maxwell Konadu has joined South African lower-tier side, Black Leopards on a three-year deal.
