Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has lauded striker Steven Dese Mukwala for his performance in The Porcupine Warriors' win over archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Ugandan scored a brace in the Porcupine Warriors’ 2-0 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in match week 31 of the Ghana Premier League, marking consecutive wins for Kotoko in the Super 2 Clash this season.

Mukwala opened the scoring in the nine minutes into the game, latching onto a long pass and slotting the ball past Hearts' goalkeeper Kwesi Nketia.

He then secured his 14th goal of the season by shifting the ball onto his right foot during a counter-attack and slamming it into the bottom left side of the goal for Kotoko’s second goal.

In his post-game press conference, Dr. Ogum lauded Mukwala’s performance, especially following Kotoko’s 2-1 loss to Berekum Chelsea.

"As I said before the game, I engaged him and I think he has lived up to the task and it’s good for us. I’m even short on words. I think Steve made it so beautiful," Dr. Ogum remarked.
