Nsoatreman FC is pressing forward with their preparations for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup, undeterred by the recent departure of head coach Maxwell Konadu.

The veteran Ghanaian coach, who guided the team to a memorable FA Cup triumph, has moved on to join South African second-tier outfit Black Leopards on a three-year contract.

Following their FA Cup victory, Nsoatreman FC earned the right to represent Ghana in the 2024/25 Confederation Cup campaign.

Despite Konadu's sudden exit, the club remains steadfast in their commitment to making a mark in their debut appearance in the competition.

In a statement, the club expressed gratitude to Konadu for his contributions, acknowledging his role in their success both domestically and in the league.

They assured fans that efforts are underway to appoint a capable successor to steer the team forward.

"Nsoatreman Football Club has amicably parted ways with head coach Maxwell Konadu. Maxwell Konadu leaves behind a legacy after clinching the historic FA Cup title and guiding the team to a commendable fourth-place finish in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season. He departs as a revered figure and will always be welcomed warmly at our club," the statement read.

The club urged supporters to remain calm as they intensify their search for a new coach, emphasizing that the transition will not derail their ambitions to establish themselves as a top-tier club both domestically and on the continental stage.

"Our focus remains firmly on our upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign. The departure of Coach Maxwell Konadu does not diminish our aspirations. We are determined to continue our journey towards becoming a prominent force in Ghanaian and African football," the statement concluded.

Maxwell Konadu had joined Nsoatreman FC from Legon Cities ahead of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, leaving a significant mark during his tenure with the club.
