Nsoatreman FC teenage sensation Foster Apetorgbor intends to surpass Dreams FC midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah’s exploits in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Nsoatre-based club will participate in the Confederation Cup for the first time in history next season after winning their first-ever trophy.

They clinched the Ghana FA Cup trophy to climax the season in style, beating Bofoakwa Tano. Nsoatreman had to stage a comeback after going behind, eventually winning on penalties.

16-year-old Apetorgbor Foster played a crucial role to help his outfit clinch the title. He scored the winning penalty in the much-anticipated clash.

Last season, Abdul Aziz Issah emerged as one of the best players in the Confederation Cup competition as Dreams FC reached the semifinals.

He emerged as the joint topscorer in the Confederation with four goals and also made the young team of the competition at the end of the campaign.

And Apetorgbor, who is set for his maiden appearance with Nsoatreman FC has set sights on surpassing Aziz Issah’s performance in Africa next season.

“I’m working hard to surpass Abdul Aziz Issah’s achievement in the Confederation Cup with Dreams FC” he told Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com.

The 16-year-old, who is a final-year student at Kumasi High School showed glimpses of good performances in the recently concluded season despite the challenges of balancing school and sports.

The talented player, who joined the Nsoatre-based club during the January transfer window made 17 appearances in the Ghana Premier League and delivered top class performance for the team.

Apetorgbor clinched two Player of the Month awards in the just concluded season.

He is undoubtedly capable of becoming a world-class player who will astonish fans for many years to come if he maintains his current work ethic.
