Asante Kotoko forward, Steven Mukwala, attributes his second goal against Hearts of Oak to instinct.

Mukwala secured a brace as the Porcupine Warriors piled more misery on the Phobians during Sunday's clash at the Baba Yara Stadium in Matchday 31 action.

The Ugandan striker demonstrated his sharpness by latching onto a long ball and staying composed amidst heavy pressure to find the back of the net for his first goal.

For his second, he swiftly manoeuvred the ball onto his right foot during a counterattack, driving it low into the bottom left corner of the goal.

Reflecting on his performance in a post-game interview, Mukwala credited his team for the victory and analyzed his goals, which came in the eighth and 92nd minutes.

"That was a tactical approach. With two Hearts players marking me, I had to create space to evade their awareness of my position," he explained.

"As for the second goal, it was purely instinctive. I spotted an approaching defender, so I adjusted my speed accordingly, leading to the goal," he elaborated.

This triumph marks Asante Kotoko's second victory over Hearts of Oak this season, with Mukwala also finding the net in their previous encounter, a 3-2 win for the Porcupine Warriors.

Currently positioned ninth in the league standings with 43 points, Asante Kotoko will next face Great Olympics in Matchday 32 action at the Accra Sports Stadium this weekend.
