Former Ghana international, Charles Taylor Asampong, has slammed Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko for teh poor performances, describing them as no longer big teams.

The two most glamorous clubs in the country have struggled in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

With only two points separating the two big clubs in Ghana, Hearts of Oak 12 and Asante Kotoko 10, Taylor, who played for both teams, says fans of the two clubs deserve an apology from their clubs.

“The season is over for both Kotoko and Hearts. They have to apologize to their fans; they have disappointed them,” he said on Angel TV.

“Now I can say Kotoko and Hearts are big clubs but not big teams. They have made the name as a club, but they don’t have a team anymore.

“It's like having two bad students; no matter what, they will fail. When you look at the results of both Kotoko and Hearts, they lose together. The players don’t deserve to wear the jerseys of these two clubs," he added.

Asante Kotoko will host Hearts of Oak in the Matchday 31 games in the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
