Heart of Lions leading race to sign Asante Kotoko defender Yahaya Dawuni

Ghana Premier League outfit Heart of Lions have set sights on securing the services of Asante Kotoko defender Yahaya Dawuni ahead of next season.

Lions endured a difficult campaign upon their return to the Ghana Premier league, finishing 15th at the end of last season.

They are currently in the transfer market searching for qualities to bolster their squad ahead of the 2024/25 football season.

However, Lions are said to be leading the race to sign the former Susubribi marksman.

Meanwhile, they face stiff competition from fellow Premier League side Legon Cities who are also desperate to secure Dawuni’s signature.

The 20-year-old centre-back is weighing his options, seeking a club that offers more playing time.

Dawuni joined Kotoko last summer from Division One League side Susubiribi Sporting Club but struggled to break into the first team, failing to make any appearances for the club.
