GHPL Match Report: Elmina Sharks held by rejuvenated Great Olympics

Elmina Sharks were held to a 1-1 draw by rejuvenated Great Olympics on match day five of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Ndoum Stadium.

Great Olympics have recovered from a poor start of the season to pick up four points in their last two games.

Sharks and Olympics both went into the game in high spirit after winning their previous games Inter Allies and Karela United FC in match day four respectively.

The home side took the lead after moment of dominance in the 27th minute through Benjamin Boateng free-kick on the edge of the box.

Great Olympics piled the pressure after conceding the goal but could not find the equalizer as they went into the first half 1-0.

After the break, the Oly Dade lads improved immensely and created lots of chances after a wave of attack.

Their constant pressure paid off in the 81st minute as they scored the equaliser courtesy Mohammed Sulley fine strike.

The result took Elmina Sharks to 11th with six points, while Great Olympics jumped to 13th with four points.
