Roberto Massimo has officially joined SpVgg Greuther Fürth after his contract with VfB Stuttgart expired this summer.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian-born German winger successfully completed his medical check on Wednesday before penning his new deal with the cloverleaf club.

Massimo began his football journey with Arminia Bielefeld's youth team before making a switch to VfB Stuttgart at the tender age of 17. He made his professional debut for Arminia Bielefeld at 17 and later featured in the Bundesliga for Stuttgart at 19. The talented winger has also represented Germany at the U19 and U21 levels, donning the DFB junior jersey in six international matches.

Expressing his excitement about the new signing, SpVgg Greuther Fürth's Sporting Director Rachid Azzouzi said, "Roberto is an exciting player who has already gained a wealth of experience despite his young age. Last season, he was part of a Stuttgart team that qualified for the Champions League. We are thrilled to have Roberto, who is highly motivated and fits well with our philosophy on a personal level."

Meanwhile, Kleeblatt coach Alex Zorniger praised Massimo's offensive skills, speed, and willingness to run, stating that the new signing would be an option on both flanks and in the central area. Zorniger added, "With his flexibility, Roberto fits our profile perfectly and has the quality to create those surprise moments. As with all players, we are looking to improve his play against the ball."
