Amiens SC defender, Nicholas Opoku, recently made a heartwarming return to his former school, Juaben Senior High School (SHS), to give back to the institution that played a significant role in his formative years.

The Ghanaian footballer's visit was marked by a special ceremony where he was honored by the school and its authorities for his continuous support and contributions.

Opoku's football journey began with Kumasi Corner Babies, followed by a stint at Berekum Chelsea, a top-tier Ghanaian club. His impressive performances caught the attention of Tunisian club, Club Africain, where he signed a three-year deal in August 2017. The defender's career took a significant leap when he joined Italian Serie A side, Udinese, in July 2018, inking a contract until June 2022.

In January 2020, Opoku was loaned to French Ligue 1 club, Amiens, with an option to buy until June 2020. His exceptional skills and contributions to the team led Amiens to make his loan deal permanent.

On the international stage, Opoku has represented Ghana at various levels, including the under-17 and under-20 teams. He made his senior international debut in a 2-1 defeat against the United States in July 2017.
