Coach Laryea Kingston extends gratitude to GFA for Black Starlets job

Head coach of the Black Starlets, Laryea Kingston has stressed that he will always appreciate the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for handing him the job.

According to him, he was called to come down from Denmark to take charge of the Ghana male U17 national team.

Speaking after Ghana’s Black Starlets whipped Ivory Coast 5-1 in their opening match at the WAFU B U17 Cup of Nations tournament, Laryea Kingston disclosed that he is focused on working hard to qualify his side for the next U17 AFCON.

“I’ll always thank the FA for believing in me and calling me to come all the way from Denmark to take up the coaching of the team.

“From the first day that I came to Ghana, my aim has been to change the narrative: That means qualifying the team to the AFCON, an objective that has eluded us since 2017,” Coach Laryea Kingston said.

Up next for Coach Laryea Kingston and his Black Starlets side, they will take on Benin in their second Group A match at the WAFU Zone B U17 Cup of Nations tournament.
