Heart of Lions defender Atta Kusi has heaped praise on his coach Bashir Hayford after guiding the club to escape relegation at the end of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Hayford replaced Fatawu Salifu and delivered an outstanding performance to lead the club to maintain their status in the Ghanaian top-flight.
Lions endured a difficult campaign upon their return to the Ghana Premier league, finishing 15th at the end of the season.
Speaking to Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com, the former Kotoko right-back singled the experienced coach out for praise following the club’s relegation survival.
“Everyone knows Bashir Hayford is one of the best. In terms of coaching and experienced, he is on top. He is a fantastic coach” he said.
Lions will be hoping to turn things around in the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.
They are currently in the transfer market searching for quality players that can compete in the 2024/25 season for the club.
