Asante Kotoko set for squad overhaul as 15 players face exit

Following an unimpressive Ghana Premier League campaign, Asante Kotoko are gearing up for a major squad overhaul ahead of the new season.

The Porcupine Warriors endured a torrid campaign, finishing sixth on the domestic top-flight club at the end of the season.

As the team prepare for the 2024/25 season, the Ghanaian giants are expected to part ways with 15 players to make way for new additions.

Captain Danlad Ibrahim and Richmond Lamptey are among the notable departures, following the expiration of their contracts.

Uganda international striker Steven Desse Mukwala is also set to leave, having failed to extend his deal with the Ghanaian giants.

The Ghanaian giants are reflecting on their performance in the just concluded season as they aim to challenge for the Ghana Premier League title next season.

The full list of players set to depart includes:

Samuel Asamoah, Ofori Ziggy, Isaac Oppong, Poutey Moise, Danlad Ibrahim, Augustine Agyapong, Yayaha Dawuni, Nicholas Mensah, Sheriff Mohammed (Defender),  Kalou Ouattara, John Tedeku,  Ishaaku Fuseini, Mukwala Desse.  Richmond Lamptey, and Nana Benyin Amoah
