Asante Kotoko part ways with 18 players following contract termination of seven more players

After a disappointing run in the Ghana Premier League, the Ghanaian giants has now turned their focus towards the 2024/25 season with a major squad overhaul.

The Porcupine Warriors on Wednesday announced contract termination of seven players to make way for new additions ahead of the new campaign.

The players leave the club by mutual consent and are expected to find themselves a new club before the start of the new season.

Among the notable departures are Rocky Dwamena, Shadrack Addo and Samuel Asamoah, who joined the club before the start of the season from Bofoakwa Tano.

This means the Ghanaian giants have parted companies with a total of 18 players within two days.

On Tuesday, 11 players including captain Danlad Ibrahim, Moise Pouaty, Eric Zeze and others were shown the exit door.

Kotoko are reflecting on the performance of their players in the just concluded Ghana Premier League campaign.

They are determined to challenge the top spot in the Ghana Premier League next season and the squad overhaul is a significant step towards achieving their goal.

The following players contracts have been terminated by mutual consent:

Richmond Opoku
