Arsenal star Thomas Partey has made his long-awaited return to the Black Stars ahead of the crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.

Thomas Partey had not played for the Black Stars since October 2023 when he captained the team during international friendly matches against the USA and Mexico.

The 30-year-old has now played consistently for Arsenal in their last 12 league matches.

The Black Stars will play Mali on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako in the third round of qualifying for the Canada and USA World Cup.

Four days later, they will return to Ghana to face the Central African Republic in the fourth-round match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Ghana started its qualifying campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Madagascar in Kumasi but lost by the same score to Comoros in the second group game.

Ghana currently sits in fourth place in Group I with three points, three points behind leaders Comoros.
