2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers: Ghana among 48 African nations to be drawn for qualifiers

The senior national team, the Black Stars are among the 48 countries expected to be drawn in today's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The draw for the tournament is expected to be held in South Africa, Johannesburg at 12:30 GMT.

The qualifiers draw will herald what promises to be another exciting start to a successful TotalEnergies AFCON after the historic one in Cote d’Ivoire, which got the world talking.

Ghana will hope for a favourable draw as they hope to qualify for the tournament that will be hosted in Morocco.

In the last two editions of the AFCON, the Black Stars have suffered back-to-back group phase elimination.

Otto Addo and his charges will hope to turn the fortunes of the team around should the Black Star secure qualification for the tournament.

Meanwhile, the draw is expected to be conducted by Ivory Coast head coach Emerse Faé and Moroccan legend, Marouane Chamakh.
