Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has admitted that his side must be at their best to have the chance to beat Niger in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Ghana will play two games against Niger in the AFCON qualifiers after the pair ended up in Group F at the end of the draw for the qualifiers of the next continental tournament on Thursday.

Speaking to the media team of the GFA on the outcome of the draw, Ghana coach Otto Addo said the game against Niger will be tough.

"They don’t have a good record in their last five, six, seven, eight matches. I think they won one, played some draws and lost the other games but what you can see is that, when they lost they just lost by a lone goal. So it’s going to be tough. All the other teams are finding it tough playing against Niger so it’s going to be tough for us as well. We have to be at our 100% best to beat everyone,” Coach Otto Addo said.

The qualifiers for the 2025 AFCON are scheduled to commence in September this year.

Ghana’s first match will be a contest against Angola.
