Black Queens forward Freda Ayisi says her side did not lose to Zambia in the Olympic Games qualifiers because of complacency.

Ghana will have to beat the Copper Queens on aggregate to advance to the final round of the qualifiers after suffering a 1-0 defeat in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ahead of the return leg, the Charlton Athletic forward asserted the team did not lose because of complacency and has now shifted attention to the second leg on Wednesday.

“It will be amazing for the team to go for the Olympics because it’s a big opportunity to show the world that Ghana can play football and also put us on the map again” the Charlton Athletic midfielder said.

''I feel that the team is good, the team is doing well, it wasn't complacency that made us lose in Accra. We are focused, sometimes football can go either way and that’s what happened in the 1st leg'' she added.

The game will take place on Wednesday, February 28,2024 at the Levy Nwanawasa Sports Stadium in Ndola.
