Defending Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex kicked off the new 2024/25 league season with a goalless draw with Dreams Football Club.
After weeks of anticipation, the Ghanaian top-flight league has restarted with all 18 clubs geared up to compete for glory.
Today, Dreams FC locked horns with FC Samartex at the Accra Sports Stadium in one of the two games played on the matchday.
Despite both team’s decision to field strong starting elevens, neither side could get on the scoresheet after the first 45 minutes.
After recess, there were a lot of good moments for both teams in their quest to break the deadlock.
Unfortunately, neither side had the men to break the backline of the opponent.
FC Samartex had to settle for a draw at full time as a resolute defensive display from Dreams FC earned the team a crucial point in their first game of the season.
