We realised winning Ghana Premier League title was possible after Week 4 – Emmanuel Keyekeh

Midfielder of Samartex FC, Emmanuel Keyekeh has disclosed that the team realised it would win the Ghana Premier League title very early in the season.

Speaking to journalists after the final game of the season, the former Asante Kotoko midfielder said the team started believing after Week 4.

According to him, eventually lifting the Ghana Premier League title did not surprise any of the players.

“We are not surprised at all with the Premier League victory. We know the work put into it during pre-season and even training. So we know, but this is not a surprise,” Emmanuel Keyekeh said.

The highly-rated midfielder continued, “The target is to keep winning games and that’s what we will do. We will keep working hard and hope the fans will support us as much as they did this season to deliver in Africa and Ghana.”

After winning the Ghana Premier League title, Samartex FC will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.
