According to him, the top Ghanaian club should not be run by old men.

"You see what is happening now... you see, in my time, we had a good board of directors. When I look at the recent happenings, you need youth to run Hearts of Oak, not old men," Harry Zakkour told Joy Sports in a yet-to-be-aired interview on Prime Take.

In the interview, the former Hearts of Oak CEO indicated that the club needs very active people who will be able to create a bond with the players by visiting training grounds regularly and giving players the attention they require.

Harry Zakkour said this is how players will be pushed to fight to get results for the club.

"Would they have enough time to come and run Accra Hearts of Oak? Would they have time... those board members, who are there now, are they going to the training grounds or to the camp to look after the boys? The boys need attention.

"Footballers are like women, if you don't give them attention, how do you get results from them?" Harry Zakkour questioned.

Following Hearts of Oak’s 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup, there is worry that the team will struggle in the 2024/25 football season.
